1- use up-to –date and paid securiy softwares that offers basic protection and help detect attacks.
2- an anti virus won’t do alone so opt for a two-way FIREWALL, PASSWORD ENCRYPTION, ANTI-phishing toolbars and regular updates.
3- when you are asked to allo aor deny an application access to the internet, ALWAYS deny unless you’re confident the site it is accessing is authentic.
4- limit personal posts o the people you trust.
5- configure privacy settings on your social networking profile. don’t disclose personal information about other people either.
6- secure your wireless network with a PASSWORD. use strong passwords WITH COMBINATIONS of letters and numbers and change it regularly.
